Company activities and impact

We previously developed our gut health classes, sharing relevant aspects of gut health science alongside practical skills of how to prepare a fibre rich /prebiotic & probiotic diet of plants, fermented foods & beverages to support the gut microbiome. We have now moved to providing Gut Health Lifestyle Wellbeing days, with the addition of nature walks to compliment a healthy microbiome diet. Wellbeing days have included teaching people how to make real sourdough flatbreads and maintain a good sourdough starter. In addition, we completed the second year / series of National Lottery Community funded courses for groups of asylum seekers and refugees, helping them develop their use of spoken English through the activity of cooking. Plans for the following year include developing gut health knowledge further but importantly developing teaching and learning skills, and may require a break from the running of this social enterprise to fulful these objectives.
