Company activities and impact

OmniAction’s global volunteer community of 600 food system sustainability experts has determined a globally agreed definition, metric and methodology for measuring and delivering sustainability on food and agriculture. This intellectual property meets a UN standard and functions at any touchpoint within the food system. OmniAction’s team completed the first stage of a study exploring soil health and nutritional density. The team developed the study protocol and implemented the study which resulted in a paper entitled Relative Carotenoid and Tocopherol Abundance in Longue de Nice Squash Grown Under Contrasting Soil Management Systems: An Exploratory Pilot Study and Structured Research Framework for Nutrient-Yield Evaluation. This involved working with farmers across varying farming methods on similar soil types in the Bordeaux region. On a voluntary basis, the community continued to convene and consult, extending the body of intellectual property it shares in connection to metrics and methodology for food system sustainability. The wider community continues to lend its expertise to agrifood advisory boards dedicated to enhancing the sustainability of business and industrial processes.
