COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

KEKI'S GUINEA PIG RESCUE CIC

Company Number: 16165553 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 January 2026

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Keki's Guinea Pig Rescue CIC has provided rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming services for guinea pigs and rabbits in need. We have taken in animals requiring new homes, provided appropriate accommodation, food and veterinary treatment, and supported them until suitable permanent homes could be found. We have also supported members of the community who can no longer care for their animals by providing a responsible surrender and rehoming option. Animals available for adoption are assessed and matched with suitable homes, with adopters provided with advice and support to promote their ongoing welfare. The CIC has also provided sanctuary and ongoing care where appropriate, supported foster placements, and promoted responsible guinea pig and rabbit ownership and welfare within the community. These activities have benefited the community by improving animal welfare, helping animals in need receive appropriate care and veterinary treatment, supporting owners who need to surrender animals, and helping suitable adopters provide safe and appropriate permanent homes.

Consultation with stakeholders

The CIC regularly sought informal feedback from its admin volunteers and foster carers about the operation of the rescue. They were encouraged to provide feedback on their experiences and suggest any changes or improvements that could be made. Their views were considered when reviewing rescue processes, animal care and the support provided to foster carers and volunteers.
