Community Activities During the financial year, Nourishing Space CIC delivered 2 community wellbeing projects supporting women, families, and their emotional and physical health. 1. Women’s Wellness – one group in Dronfield and one group in Coal Aston Monthly women’s gatherings provided a safe, supportive space for 39 women to connect, share experiences, and develop practical wellbeing skills. The project supported women experiencing challenges including menopause, long-term health conditions, anxiety, caring responsibilities, bereavement, retirement, and social isolation. Sessions focused on nutrition, self-care, mindfulness, reflection, confidence, and building supportive community connections. The project helped women feel less isolated, improve their wellbeing, and build resilience. 2. Food Mood Lab – Woodhouse, Richmond area, Sheffield Five families took part in four interactive workshops exploring the connection between food, mood, energy, and mental wellbeing. Through practical activities and creative learning, families explored topics including Vitality, Brain Power, Calm, and Strengths. The workshops helped participants understand the impact of nutrition on emotional wellbeing and develop practical tools for focus, calm, resilience, and healthier lifelong habits.
The stake holders are women in Northeast Derbyshire and South Yorkshire areas. The directors of the company have lived in this area and through different expertise (nutrition, Mindfulness, nursing) have gained knowledge of the needs in the area. We collected information through questionnaires and continuous feedback (after each gathering), We also connected with local charities and organisations (WORTH, Dronfield Together, Laura Markley SHU, DVA, Rykneld ...) the local schools and communtiry centers to better understand the needs.
The aggregate amount of emoluments paid to or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £400 for the delivery of 4 workshops.
