| 3 | Controlling party and related party transactions | |||||||
no controlling related party. There were no transactions with related parties other than as stated elsewhere in the financial statements. |
||||||||
| 4 | Freehold property | |||||||
| The freehold property amount represents the cost of purchasing the freehold of all that property known as Durham House, Durham Place, London SW3 4ET. This purchase was completed effective 2 October 2006. On the same day, 999-year leases were granted in respect of each flat. | ||||||||
| 5 | Members' fund | |||||||
| The freehold property was acquired in October 2006. The purchase consideration together with related costs was satisfied by subscriptions from the owners of the five flats, calculated by reference to the agreed values attributable to each flat’s reversionary interest together with an allocation relating to the common parts on a pro-rata basis by reference to the measured floor areas of the individual flats. In prior periods, these amounts were presented as long-term loans from members. The directors consider that there is no intention or obligation for repayment and that the amounts represent capital contributions made by the members to enable the acquisition of the freehold. Accordingly, the balances previously shown as loans from members have been reclassified to members’ funds. Comparative figures have been restated to reflect this change in presentation. The reclassification has no impact on profit or loss or on the company’s dormant status. These members’ funds represent capital contributions and are non-distributable. |
||||||||
| 6 | Contractual commitments | |||||||
| The company contracts with third parties in its own name for the supply of services to the property for maintenance of the common parts in accordance with the terms of residents’ leases. At the year end the company had not entered into any non-cancellable contractual commitments. | ||||||||
