In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. During the reporting period, Kin Collective Wellbeing delivered the Kin Tent Play and Wellbeing Space at outdoor events and in indoor community spaces. The space offered families opportunities for guided play with professionals, a place to rest at busy events, baby-changing and feeding facilities, and a quiet space for babies to nap. Parents could also access wellbeing support while their children played. Some provision was paid for and some was provided free of charge. Directors volunteered their time, and Kin made its equipment available to support the activities. Kin also delivered continuing professional development workshops for professionals working with children and families. The workshops brought together knowledge from psychotherapy, child development and education to support those working with families. Some workshops were paid, while others were offered at a reduced cost, with directors volunteering their time.
Our stakeholders included community event organisers, families using the Kin Tent spaces, and professionals attending our continuing professional development training. We spoke with event organisers about adapting and extending our services. Their feedback helped shape our provision, including offering workshops alongside the Kin Tents, extending baby-changing hours and adding a safe space for people with special educational needs (SEN) at larger events. We spoke with families using our spaces and adapted the provision in response to their feedback, including bringing play materials they requested. We also collected feedback from training attendees using feedback forms. This helped shape future training, including extending the time available for questions and answers.
Two directors received a total of £2,905 for professional services supplied through their self-employed businesses, including event staffing, set-up and organisation, and CPD delivery. Both directors also volunteered additional time to the CIC.
