During the year ended 31st August 2026, Chris Movement CIC addressed food insecurity, financial hardship, digital exclusion, and opportunity gaps in Bolton. Supported by The National Lottery Community Fund (funded by National Lottery players), our Community Relief Connect Project delivered over 90 food voucher awards to low-income families, single parents, and individuals in need restoring dignity, choice, and flexibility. Furthermore, our Aspire Employment and Well-being Project provided targeted food bank assistance to 25 refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable BAME individuals, offering immediate relief while fostering local inclusion and connection. Bolton Community Tax Clinic (New Initiative): Launched to address grassroots financial anxiety, this clinic provided free, accessible tax and benefit guidance to low-income residents, retirees, and vulnerable community members. By breaking down complex financial jargon and helping residents navigate HMRC obligations, the clinic directly alleviates financial stress while empowering participants with greater financial confidence. Chris Movement CIC also delivered a Free Digital Marketing Skills Training Program, supported by Bolton CVS and delivered in collaboration with Phoot Technologies. The initiative provided young people aged 16–25 with hands-on training in digital marketing, website development, SEO, online advertising, and e-commerce. Feedback highlighted increased confidence and practical knowledge, with participants learning how to launch online stores, execute digital campaigns, and unlock new avenues for employment, self-employment, and income generation. Promoting Community Connections & Inclusivity: Together, these activities particularly the newly established Bolton Community Tax Clinic bring together diverse groups across Bolton, including ethnically diverse communities, low-income households, and isolated individuals. By offering culturally sensitive, welcoming, and accessible support environments, Chris Movement CIC bridges socioeconomic divides, builds mutual trust, and ensures every resident feels valued and included.
Chris Movement CIC engaged regularly with key stakeholders during the year, including project beneficiaries, local residents, young people, volunteers, and partner referral networks. Stakeholder consultation was embedded across all activities via direct outreach, structured feedback loops, workshop evaluations, and intake assessments. Insights gathered through the Community Relief Connect Project and food bank initiatives enabled us to tailor food voucher and parcel distributions to exact community needs. Beneficiaries reported that this direct assistance significantly reduced household financial stress while maintaining dignity and personal choice. Similarly, feedback and testimonials from young people in the Digital Marketing Skills Training Program demonstrated measurable increases in practical capability and confidence in SEO, website creation, e-commerce, Google Ads, and Meta Ads. All stakeholder feedback is reviewed internally to evaluate project performance, assess emerging local needs, and refine the design of future skill-building and relief programs.
