In terms of events, we have hosted highly successful fundraising evenings which have united members of our wider community and brought entertainment, joy and opportunities to socialise to all ages. Over Christmas, we brought music to our local community by carolling around the streets, in supermarkets and at care homes. We have also supported local charities with fundraising events, and our brass bands supported The Rotary Club of Rochdale by performing at The Rochdale Classic Car Show during summer. We are proud to have facilitated our own concerts and celebration evenings, to give recognition to our members and their achievements, and to offer new and exciting opportunities for our members to perform. Two stand out moments during the year include performing alongside the Manchester Camerata and taking part in the Rochdale Music Stories project, in which our brass ensemble had the opportunity to re-imagine and re-record a classic Stone Roses track.
The stakeholders of the organisation are the members, volunteers and general public. A survey was sent to all members for their feedback on the year. This has helped us to add in additional activities and tailor rehearsals. We held a volunteers meeting to give an update on the year and gain feedback. An annual review meeting was held to give an update on the year to all members.
One director received a modest freelance fee of £17,673 as a musical director and for group management, in line with market rates. No dividends were paid. All remuneration was approved by the board and within CIC regulations.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
