During the financial year, RAE Academy CIC delivered an early intervention pilot at Loughborough Primary School in Lambeth for a group of 15 Year 6 pupils preparing for the transition to secondary school. The programme provided structured workshops focused on identity, confidence, communication, emotional awareness, problem solving and future aspirations. Activities included group discussions, vision boards, reflective exercises and a time capsule. These gave pupils opportunities to express their concerns, recognise their strengths and practise positive ways of responding to challenges. Working with school staff enabled the programme to reach pupils identified as needing additional support with engagement, behaviour or transition anxiety. The sessions provided a supportive space for pupils to participate, build relationships and explore the changes ahead. Early feedback indicated positive engagement, with opportunities for pupils to demonstrate leadership and contribute to group activities. Through this work, RAE Academy CIC supported local children at an important stage of their development and complemented the support provided by the school. The pilot also informed the development of future programmes for young people in the community.
