FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025
| 1. | STATUTORY INFORMATION |
County Food Ingredients Ltd is a
| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Going concern
At 31 December 2025 the company had net liabilities of £1,024,890. The company is dependent on the continued financial support of its parent undertaking, County Milk Products Limited, which has confirmed that it will continue to provide such support, and will not seek repayment of amounts owed to it where this would leave the company unable to meet its other liabilities, for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements. On this basis the directors consider it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis.
Related party exemption
The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of County Milk Products Limited. The company has taken advantage of the exemption in Section 33 of FRS 102 not to disclose transactions with other wholly owned members of the group.
Turnover
Turnover represents the amounts receivable for goods sold and processing services provided, excluding value added tax and net of discounts and rebates.
Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership have passed to the customer, which is determined in accordance with the agreed terms of sale. Turnover from processing services is recognised as the services are performed.
Tangible fixed assets
| Plant and machinery etc | - |
Stocks
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.
Financial instruments
The company has only basic financial instruments, comprising trade and other debtors, cash, trade and other creditors, hire purchase obligations and amounts owed to and by group undertakings. These are initially recognised at transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost, less any impairment in the case of financial assets. Balances receivable or payable within one year, and amounts owed to and by group undertakings which are repayable on demand, are measured at the undiscounted amount expected to be received or paid.
Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.

| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES - continued |
Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date.
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.
Hire purchase and leasing commitments
Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to profit or loss on a straight line basis over the period of the lease.
Assets obtained under hire purchase contracts or finance leases are capitalised in the Balance Sheet. Those held under hire purchase contracts are depreciated over their estimated useful lives. Those held under finance leases are depreciated over their estimated useful lives or the lease term, whichever is the shorter.
The interest element of these obligations is charged to the Income Statement over the relevant period. The capital element of the future payments is treated as a liability.
Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.
