During the financial year 9 January 2025 to 31 January 2026, BabyCare Reach CIC supported families with babies and young children across Rotherham and Sheffield by providing essential items, early years activities, and practical community support. Families experiencing financial pressure received tailored essential packs containing nappies, wipes, clothing, hygiene items and safe sleep essentials. These packs reduced stress for parents and ensured babies had the basics they needed. Children in need benefited from age specific essential packs, helping families who were struggling to afford basic items during the early months of their child’s life. Parents facing hygiene poverty received hygiene kits, helping them maintain dignity and wellbeing during difficult periods. Families across Rotherham and Sheffield accessed support regardless of postcode, ensuring help reached those without transport or those experiencing mobility or health challenges. Local mums and families attended community events and workshops designed to uplift, connect and empower parents who may otherwise feel isolated. Volunteers contributed to collections, sorting donations, packing essential items and supporting outreach, strengthening community involvement and reducing operational pressure. Strong community partnerships were built with NHS midwives, who referred families directly to BabyCare Reach for urgent practical support. This ensured vulnerable parents received essential items quickly and reduced pressure on maternity services. A grant was received in January 2026 to support the development of our NHS maternity documentary project. Initial planning and early stage work began during this reporting period, with delivery continuing into the following financial year. Impact and measurable reach during this period included supporting around 260 families, delivering over 300 essential packs, completing 144 donation pickups and processing 116 collection requests. Families reported reduced financial stress, improved wellbeing and increased feelings of community support. Volunteers contributed more than 200 hours to sorting, packing and deliveries. Support was delivered consistently across multiple postcodes, ensuring families without transport or those experiencing mobility challenges were not excluded. All funding received during this period was used to deliver essential items, support sessions, outreach activities and operational costs required to serve families safely and consistently. The NHS documentary grant was received during this period, with delivery continuing into the next financial year. No directors received any personal benefit. All assets were used strictly in line with the CIC’s community purpose and asset lock requirements.
