Company activities and impact

Nura Noor Learning Center C Activities and Impact: We started Nura Noor Learning Center CIC in December 2024, our main purpose is to provide clear trusted advice to marginalised families who do not know how to access the special educational needs and disability system across the United Kingdom. We help families fully understand every part of special needs provision and we guide them step by step to secure the right support for their children. We also work closely with local authorities and schools to build stronger collaborative working relationships between parents and all professionals involved in a child's education so that children receive consistent joined up support from home and from their teams at school and beyond. Since we launched in December 2024 our work has already made a meaningful difference to families and our local community, we have reached families who are often overlooked or excluded from clear information including those from ethnic minority backgrounds and those who feel unsure or unfamiliar with how the education system works. Many families told us they felt lost overwhelmed or did not know what they were entitled to before they came to us. We have taken the time to explain the full process in understandable terms from understanding legal rights and what an education and health care plan actually is to attending meetings preparing paperwork and knowing how to challenge decisions when necessary. This means parents have moved from feeling uncertain and powerless to feeling informed capable and confident to stand alongside professionals for their child. We have helped families identify and secure the right provision for their children whether that is extra support in school a properly tailored learning plan or a suitable specialist placement. Children have benefited directly because their parents now understand exactly what support should be in place and how to make sure it is delivered fully and consistently. We have actively helped bridge the gap between home and professional services by creating clearer lines of communication encouraging mutual understanding and bringing parents and practitioners together with a shared focus on what each child needs most. Local authorities and schools have seen that better informed and supported parents lead to more constructive conversations less misunderstanding and decisions that are made more quickly and truly in the best interests of the child. This joined up approach means no one is working alone and children get the same level of care encouragement and backing from every side. Since we began our journey in late 2024 we have worked to remove the confusion stress and isolation that often stops families getting what their children need estimated 200 families from 2025-2026 We build mutual respect between families and professionals and we ensure that every child with special needs receives full fair and consistent support across their home school and wider community. As a new community interest company all our efforts are focused on growing this vital service reaching more families and strengthening these important partnerships in the time ahead
