Compliance with accounting standards
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. There were no material departures from that standard.
These financial statements for the period from 14 March 2025 to 31 March 2026 are the first financial statements that comply with FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. The date of transition is 14 March 2025.
The transition to FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities has resulted in a small number of changes in accounting policies to those used previously.
The nature of these changes and their impact on opening equity and profit for the comparative period are explained in the notes below.
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets.
The accounts are presented in £ sterling.
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis.
This is the Company's first financial year and, during a significant proportion of the period, the Company was principally engaged in the preparation and building works required to establish and develop its business operations. As a result, the Company has not yet reached its expected level of trading activity during the period.
The Directors have considered the Company's future trading prospects, cash flow requirements and available financial support when assessing the appropriateness of the going concern basis.
The Company is supported by its related party, Hawk Heating (Kenton) Ltd, a profitable and established company with sufficient cash-generating capacity to provide financial support to Hawk Energy Hub Ltd, should this be required. The Directors are satisfied that such support, together with the Company's anticipated trading activities and future cash flows, provides sufficient resources to enable the Company to meet its liabilities as they fall due.
Having considered the above factors, the Directors have a reasonable expectation that the Company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, the directors consider it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis.
Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses.
No depreciation has been charged during the year as the Company has not yet commenced its intended operational activities and the furniture, fixtures and other tangible assets remain under development and are not yet available for their intended use.
Depreciation will be charged from the date the relevant assets are brought into operational use and are available for their intended purpose, over their estimated useful economic lives.
