NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
FOR THE PERIOD 30 JUNE 2025 TO 5 APRIL 2026
| 1. | STATUTORY INFORMATION |
A & A Flight Training LLP is registered in England and Wales. The LLP's registered number and registered office address can be found on the General Information page.
The presentation currency of the financial statements is the Pound Sterling (£).
| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Reporting period length
The annual financial statements are presented for a period shorter than one year as it is the business's first period of trading. The entity was incorporated on 30 June 2025.
Significant judgements and estimates
In the application of the company’s accounting policies, the directors are required to make judgements, estimates and assumptions about the carrying amount of assets and liabilities that are not readily apparent from other sources. The estimates and associated assumptions are based on historical experience and other factors that are considered to be relevant. Actual results may differ from these estimates.
The estimates and underlying assumptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Revisions to accounting estimates are recognised in the period in which the estimate is revised where the revision affects only that period, or in the period of the revision and future periods where the revision affects both current and future periods.
Turnover
Turnover represents consideration received or receivable for teaching and aircraft hire services, measured at fair value, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover is recognised when the performance obligations associated with the transaction have been satisfied.
Goodwill
Goodwill represents the excess of the cost of a business acquisition over the fair value of the identifiable assets and liabilities acquired at the acquisition date.
It is initially recognised as an asset at cost and is subsequently measured at cost less accumulated amortisation and accumulated impairment losses. Goodwill is considered to have a finite useful life and is amortised on a systematic basis over its expected life, which is five years.
Tangible fixed assets
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost (or deemed cost) or valuation less accumulated depreciation and accumulated impairment losses. Cost includes costs directly attributable to making the asset capable of operating as intended.
Depreciation is recognised so as to write off the cost or valuation of assets less their residual values over their useful lives on the following bases:
Fixtures and Fittings - 25% Reducing balance
Financial instruments
Debtors and creditors with no stated interest rate and receivable or payable within one year are recorded at transaction price. Any losses arising from impairment are recognised in the profit and loss account in other administrative expenses
Going concern
After reviewing the company's forecasts, the members believe that the LLP has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for a period of at least 12 months from the date of the approval of these financial statements. Therefore, the members have concluded that the going concern basis of preparation of these financial statements remains appropriate.
| 3. | EMPLOYEE INFORMATION |
The average number of employees during the period was NIL.
