Notes to the Financial Statements
Period from 1 April 2025 to 30 September 2026
1. General information
The company is a private company limited by shares, registered in England and Wales. The address of the registered office is The Limes, Little Top Lane, Lound, Retford, Nottinghamshire, DN22 8RH.
2. Statement of compliance
These financial statements have been prepared in compliance with Section 1A of FRS 102, 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland'.
3. Accounting policies
Basis of preparation
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (UK GAAP) and the Companies Act 2006. The company’s directors have made a formal decision to place the company into a Members’ Voluntary Liquidation (MVL). Consequently, these accounts have been prepared on the basis that the company will be liquidated in the near future, and assets will be realised and liabilities settled in the ordinary course of the MVL. No adjustments have been made to the carrying value of assets or liabilities other than those required to reflect their expected realisation in the liquidation process.
Revenue recognition
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable and represents amounts receivable for goods supplied and services rendered, stated net of discounts and of Value Added Tax.
Income tax
Deferred tax arises as a result of including items of income and expenditure in taxation computations in periods different from those in which they are included in the company accounts. Deferred tax is provided in full on timing differences which result in an obligation to pay more (or less) tax at a future date, at the average tax rates that are expected to apply when the timing differences reverse, based on current tax rates and laws.
Tangible assets
Tangible assets are initially recorded at cost, and subsequently stated at cost less any accumulated depreciation and impairment losses. Any tangible assets carried at revalued amounts are recorded at the fair value at the date of revaluation less any subsequent accumulated depreciation and subsequent accumulated impairment losses.
Depreciation
Depreciation is calculated so as to write off the cost or valuation of an asset, less its residual value, over the useful economic life of that asset as follows:
Plant and machinery
-
20% reducing balance
Motor vehicles
-
20% reducing balance
Office equipment
-
20% reducing balance
Investment property
Investment property is initially recorded at cost, which includes purchase price and any directly attributable expenditure. Investment property is revalued to its fair value at each reporting date and any changes in fair value are recognised in profit or loss. The change in fair value is subject to deferred tax, with the net fair value change transferred to the fair value reserve.
Stocks
Stocks are measured at the lower of cost and estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell. Cost includes all costs of purchase, costs of conversion and other costs incurred in bringing the stock to its present location and condition.
Provisions
Provisions are recognised when the entity has an obligation at the reporting date as a result of a past event, it is probable that the entity will be required to transfer economic benefits in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be estimated reliably. Provisions are recognised as a liability in the statement of financial position and the amount of the provision as an expense.
Financial instruments
Financial instruments are classified and accounted for, according to the substance of the contractual arrangement, as either financial assets, financial liabilities or equity instruments. An equity instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the assets of the company after deducting all of its liabilities.
4. Employee numbers
The average number of persons employed by the company during the period amounted to 3 (2025: 2 ).
