Accounting policies |
Basis of preparation |
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 102, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (as applied to small entities by section 1A of the standard). |
Going concern |
The accounts have been prepared on the going concern basis. At the balance sheet date the company's liabilities exceeded its assets, mainly because of the loan from its director. The director has confirmed that he will continue to support the company and will not seek repayment of his loan, to the extent that repayment would leave the company unable to meet its other liabilities, for at least twelve months from the date of approval of these accounts. On this basis the director considers it appropriate to prepare the accounts on the going concern basis. |
Turnover |
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration receivable, net of VAT. Turnover includes revenue earned from the rendering of media consultancy services and the recharge to clients of office and travel costs incurred on their behalf. |
Tangible fixed assets |
Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is provided on all tangible fixed assets at rates calculated to write off the cost, less estimated residual value, of each asset evenly over its expected useful life, as follows: |
Fixtures, fittings and equipment |
33.33% straight line |
Debtors |
Short term debtors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price), less any impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts. |
Creditors |
Short term creditors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price). Loans and other financial liabilities are initially recognised at transaction price. |
Taxation |
A current tax liability is recognised for the tax payable on the taxable profit of the current and past periods. |
