Toy Like Me is a disabled-led arts and play not-for-profit organisation based in Norwich and York. We create projects and products which celebrate the power of disability representation and the magic of play to boost self-esteem in disabled children and grow open minds in non-disabled children. Our projects during 2025/26 have included our Bear Ear Clinic visits to schools to support deaf children in mainstream education by educating their peers through our playful deaf awareness workshops. We also run our Little Bear Club monthly social events for deaf children and CODAs (children of deaf adults) living in Norfolk. We have hosted events in galleries and public spaces, including Gressenhall Museum and The Forum in Norwich. Our work has impacted 1000s of children across Norfolk and the UK and continues to contribute to cultural change in attitudes towards disability. Our consumer products include our disability-affirmative See It Be It game, featuring 80 deaf adults and their jobs, and our 3D-printed toy hearing devices. All are sold and shipped globally via our Etsy shop. Toy Like Me is run by Rebecca Atkinson, Briony Curran and Karen Newell in a semi-voluntary capacity. We have no PAYE staff and draw a small income on a project-by-project basis. We are disabled-led by Rebecca Atkinson, who is partially deaf and partially sighted. Visit us at www.toylikeme.org to see what we're all about.
No consultation with stakeholders
All directors work for the company on a freelance basis only. We have no PAYE staff. We draw an income on a project by project basis dependant on funding levels. We all draw the same daily wage of £200 per day and we are all responsible for paying our own tax.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
