Notes to the Financial Statements
1. General Information
Fortitude Property Management Ltd is a private company, limited by shares, incorporated in England & Wales, registered number 13835430 . The registered office is 14 Wharf Road, Frimley Green, Camberley, GU16 6LE.
2. Accounting Policies
2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 section 1A Small Entities "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006.
The Company’s functional and presentational currency is GBP.
Comparative amounts for the year ended 31 January 2025 have been included and are consistent with the revised statutory financial statements filed for that period.
2.2. Going Concern Disclosure
The directors have considered the Company's financial position and cash flow forecasts for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements.
During the year the Company generated rental income from its investment property and maintained sufficient cash resources to meet its ongoing obligations. The directors have also considered the Company's mortgage financing arrangements and available support from the Directors.
Based on this assessment, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the Company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, the financial statements have been prepared on the going concern basis.
2.3. Turnover
Turnover
Turnover represents rental income derived from the Company’s property activities. It is measured at the fair value of the consideration receivable, excluding value added tax.
Rental income
Rental income from tenants is recognised on a straight-line basis over the term of the lease or licence to occupy, in accordance with the substance of the relevant agreements.
Where lease incentives are provided, the aggregate cost of the incentives is recognised as a reduction of rental income over the lease term on a straight-line basis.
Income is recognised only to the extent that it is probable that the economic benefits will flow to the Company and the amount can be measured reliably.
2.4. Investment Properties
Investment property comprises property held to earn rentals and/or for capital appreciation.
Investment property is initially recognised at cost, including directly attributable costs of acquisition.
Investment property is subsequently measured at fair value at each reporting date where fair value can be measured reliably without undue cost or effort. Where fair value cannot be measured reliably without undue cost or effort, investment property is carried in accordance with Section 17 of FRS 102.
No fair value gain or loss arose during the period. The directors considered whether the fair value of the investment property differed materially from its carrying value at the reporting date and concluded that the carrying value of £137,000 represented a reasonable approximation of fair value based on the information available.
The property is assessed for impairment at each reporting date where there are indicators that the carrying value may not be recoverable. Any impairment loss is recognised in the profit and loss account.
No depreciation is charged on investment property measured in accordance with the Company's investment property accounting policy.

2.5. Financial Instruments
Financial assets and financial liabilities are recognised in the Company’s balance sheet when the Company becomes a party to the contractual provisions of the instrument.
Basic financial assets, including cash and other receivables, are initially recognised at transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method, less any impairment.
Basic financial liabilities, including trade creditors, amounts owed to directors and borrowings, are initially recognised at transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
Interest payable on financial liabilities is recognised within finance costs using the effective interest method.
Financial assets are assessed for impairment at each reporting date. Where there is objective evidence of impairment, a loss is recognised in the profit and loss account.
Derecognition of financial assets and liabilities occurs when the contractual rights or obligations are extinguished or discharged.
2.6. Taxation
Income tax expense represents the sum of the tax currently payable and deferred tax.
The tax currently payable is based on taxable profit for the year. Taxable profit differs from profit as reported in the statement of comprehensive income because of items of income or expense that are taxable or deductible in other years and items that are never taxable or deductible. The company's liability for current tax is calculated using tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period.
Deferred tax is recognised on timing differences between the carrying amounts of assets and liabilities in the financial statements and the corresponding tax bases used in the computation of taxable profit. Deferred tax liabilities are generally recognised for all taxable timing differences. Deferred tax assets are generally recognised for all deductible temporary differences to the extent that it is probable that taxable profits will be available against which those deductible timing differences can be utilised. The carrying amount of deferred tax assets is reviewed at the end of each reporting period and reduced to the extent that it is no longer probable that sufficient taxable profits will be available to allow all or part of the asset to be recovered.
Deferred tax assets and liabilities are measured at the tax rates that are expected to apply in the period in which the liability is settled or the asset realised, based on tax rates (and tax laws) that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period. Deferred tax liabilities are presented within provisions for liabilities and deferred tax assets within debtors. The measurement of deferred tax liabilities and assets reflect the tax consequences that would follow from the manner in which the Company expects, at the end of the reporting period, to recover or settle the carrying amount of its assets and liabilities.
Current and deferred tax are recognised in profit or loss for the year, except when they relate to items that are recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity, in which case current and deferred tax are recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity respectively.

Fair Value
As at 1 February 2025 and 31 January 2026 137,000
The Company holds a residential property classified as investment property. At 31 January 2026, the directors considered the fair value of the investment property in accordance with FRS 102 Section 16. No formal valuation, lender valuation or estate agent appraisal was available at the reporting date. However, valuation information available to the directors included an indicative market estimate with a valuation range of approximately £136,000 to £150,000. Having considered this information, together with the nature of the property and its ongoing rental use, the directors concluded that the existing carrying value of £137,000 remained a reasonable estimate of fair value at 31 January 2026. Accordingly, no fair value gain, loss or adjustment has been recognised in the financial statements.
