uring the financial year, Stronger Together Community Support CIC has worked to improve the wellbeing, confidence, social inclusion and quality of life of individuals and families within Spalding, Donington and surrounding communities. Our organisation was established to bring people together, reduce social isolation, encourage healthier lifestyles and create accessible opportunities for personal development, learning and community participation. Health, Wellbeing and Physical Activity Through our community Nordic Walking sessions, supported by funding from Sport England and the National Lottery, we have encouraged adults of different ages, backgrounds and abilities to become more physically active. These sessions have provided opportunities for participants to improve their fitness, spend time outdoors, build friendships and support their mental wellbeing. By creating a welcoming and supportive environment, we have helped participants feel more confident about joining community activities and developing healthier routines. Education, Skills and Confidence Our English language learning activities have supported community members who wish to improve their communication skills and confidence in everyday situations. These activities aim to reduce language barriers, encourage independence and help participants engage more fully with local services, employment opportunities and community life. Children, Families and Community Engagement We have worked to develop inclusive activities that support children and families, including opportunities for outdoor learning, creativity, teamwork and social interaction. Our community-focused approach encourages positive relationships between families from different backgrounds and promotes a sense of belonging.
During the financial year, Stronger Together Community Support CIC consulted with local residents, activity participants, volunteers, parents, community partners and other stakeholders to better understand their needs and interests. Consultation was carried out mainly through informal discussions, face-to-face conversations during community activities, direct communication and feedback from participants. Discussions focused on access to affordable community activities, opportunities to improve physical and mental wellbeing, English language learning, reducing social isolation and creating stronger community connections. Feedback from participants helped us consider the accessibility, organisation and delivery of our Nordic Walking sessions and English language activities, ensuring that our programmes remained welcoming, inclusive and responsive to community needs.
Each director received 530 pounds fo delivering community activites and one director received 1040 for delivering English lessons.
