1. Accounting policies
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102Turnover policy
Turnover represents amounts receivable for advisory services, excluding value added tax, and is recognised when the company has satisfied its performance obligations and the amount can be measured reliably. Success and closing fees are recognised on completion of the transaction to which they relate. Retainer and milestone fees are recognised when the retainer period has elapsed or the milestone has been achieved. The engagement letter for the Terra Innovatum S.r.l. transaction provided for the success fee to include shares and warrants of the combined entity in addition to cash. Under an amendment agreed with the client, the company gave up its right to the share and warrant consideration, which was issued directly to the transaction partners; accordingly no amount is recognised in these financial statements for shares or warrants. Where the company places warrants held by the transaction partners with investors, it acts as agent and turnover reflects the company’s net commission.Valuation and information policy
Investments in unlisted shares are stated at cost less any provision for impairment. Cash at bank, debtors and creditors are basic financial instruments measured at transaction price less any impairment. Monetary assets and liabilities denominated in foreign currencies are retranslated at the closing rate at the balance sheet date (US dollar 1.3451 and euro 1.1454 to the pound); transactions in foreign currencies are recorded at the Bank of England spot rate on the date of the transaction and exchange differences are recognised in the profit and loss account.Other accounting policies
Cost of sales comprises fee-sharing payments to the affiliated company Park Avenue Capital Group Corp. and to third-party sub-advisers, finders and consultants engaged on transactions, and the transaction fees of the director for his services on those transactions. These costs are recognised in the same period as the turnover to which they relate; amounts invoiced and settled after the period end in respect of transactions completed in the period are accrued. Current tax is recognised for the amount of corporation tax payable in respect of the taxable profit for the period, using the rates and laws enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date; the period of account is divided into two accounting periods for corporation tax purposes and profits are apportioned on a time basis. Interim dividends are recognised when paid. The financial statements are presented in pounds sterling, which is the functional currency of the company, and cover the period from incorporation on 13 December 2024 to 31 December 2025; accordingly no comparative figures are presented. The company was incorporated as Moonshot Warehouse Ltd and changed its name to Park Avenue Capital Advisors Ltd on 19 May 2025.
