Notes to the Financial Statements
for the Year Ended 31st March 2026

1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

Robin King LLP is registered in England and Wales. The LLP's registered number and registered office address can be found on the General Information page.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the requirements of the Statement of Recommended Practice, Accounting by Limited Liability Partnerships. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

The financial statements are presented in sterling (£), which is the functional currency of the LLP.

Critical accounting judgements and key sources of estimation uncertainty
The preparation of financial statements requires the members to make judgements, estimates and assumptions that affect the reported amounts of assets and liabilities. Estimates are based on historical experience and other relevant factors and are reviewed regularly.

Key areas of judgement and estimation uncertainty include:

Impairment of trade debtors - The LLP estimates the recoverability of trade and other debtors, taking into account ageing and historical experience.

Useful economic lives of tangible fixed assets - Depreciation is charged based on estimated useful lives, which are reviewed periodically.

Turnover
Turnover represents amounts receivable for services provided during the year. Revenue is recognised as the service is performed, based on the stage of completion or when the service has been completed, depending on the nature of the engagement.

All turnover is derived from customers based in the United Kingdom.

Goodwill
The useful economic life of goodwill is 6 years, based on management’s estimate of the period over which economic benefits are expected to arise.

Intangible assets
Intangible assets are initially measured at cost. After initial recognition, intangible assets are measured at cost less any accumulated amortisation and any accumulated impairment losses.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.
Fixtures and fittings - 25% on reducing balance
Motor vehicles - 25% on reducing balance
Computer equipment - 25% on reducing balance

Financial instruments
The LLP applies Section 11 ‘Basic Financial Instruments’. Financial instruments are recognised when the LLP becomes party to the contractual provisions.

Financial assets are measured at transaction price less impairment, or at amortised cost where appropriate.

Financial liabilities are measured at transaction price and subsequently at amortised cost where applicable.

Hire purchase and leasing commitments
Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to profit or loss on a straight line basis over the period of the lease.
