Notes to the Financial Statements
1. General Information
Anthony Chambers Limited is a private company, limited by shares, incorporated in England & Wales, registered number 11866811 . The registered office is 11 Talbot Road, Bedford, Bedfordshire, MK40 3EE.
2. Accounting Policies
2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 section 1A Small Entities "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006.
2.2. Going Concern Disclosure
The directors have prepared the financial statements on the going concern basis. In assessing the appropriateness of this basis, the directors have considered the company's forecast cash flows, expected future trading performance and available financial resources for a period of at least 12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements.
Based on this assessment, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future and therefore continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.
2.3. Turnover
Turnover represents amounts invoiced in respect of consultancy and advisory services provided during the year, excluding Value Added Tax.
Revenue is recognised when the services have been provided to the customer and the amount of income can be measured reliably. Where consultancy work is performed over a period of time, income is recognised as the work is carried out.
2.4. Taxation
The taxation expense represents the sum of the corporation tax currently payable and any deferred tax.
The corporation tax currently payable is based on taxable surplus for the year. Taxable surplus differs from surplus as reported in the statement of comprehensive income because of items of income or expense that are taxable or deductible in other years and items that are never taxable or deductible. The company's liability for current tax is calculated using tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period.
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at 31 March 2026.
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.
