BRADNINCH TOGETHER COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Directors' report period ended 31 January 2026

The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 January 2026

Principal activities of the company

Bradninch Together CIC (‘BradTog’) was established for the purpose of supporting and developing community activities in the parish of Bradninch. We retain a database of over 90 local volunteers, first established in response to community need during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The ability to mobilise this volunteer network is written into the Bradninch and Hele Emergency Plan, which is owned by Bradninch Town Council. During the reporting year: Directors shared advice and learning from the BradAid initiative with the Trustees of Bradninch Town Trust as they began to develop a new grant-giving Scheme to support people in need within the parish of Bradninch. Directors developed and implemented a simple Banking Agreement to support the Company’s holding of funds for community events and projects run by small groups with limited funds, particularly in light of the widespread introduction of banking charges. Directors supported the review of the Town Council’s Emergency Plan; and arranged the annual induction for those involved in its activation and implementation. In September, the fifth iteration of the Bradninch Town Fair, led by Bradninch Together Directors, took place; and was well supported and attended by clubs, organisations and individuals across the town, despite inclement weather. In October, Directors facilitated a discussion among the custodians of community buildings in Bradninch concerning shared challenges and opportunities for working together. This resulted in the commissioning by Bradninch Town Council of a small group to take forward an audit of community buildings. In January, the Bradninch Twelfth Night event took place for the second time as a project under the auspices of Bradninch Together, with many children and families involved in creating lanterns for the parade. Directors continue to facilitate the community’s resilience preparedness, by providing equipment and securing funding for flood prevention.
