In this accounting period, very little trading was done, though 21 birdboxes donated to the CIC were distributed and sold amongst 3 groups. Including St Mary Magdelin Church who wanted to engage parishioners with local wildlife. Wild Oxfordshire and MyVison Oxfordshire who wanted to run art/painting sessions with members, the latter focusing on the visually impaired.
We spent most of the year, putting together the infrastructure and process needed to run the project over 5 years, once the first grant fund comes in.
We also developed a network of contacts and stakeholders we will need going forward in future work.
We continued to test our working model by running some pilot projects engaging members of the Charlbury Town Council, and Thame Town Council.
Amongst other things we helped MyVision run walks around Didcot for their members, bringing a sensory component to the walks. Building connections and trust amongst members, so when we get funding to assess and improve disabled access route around the county, and invite disabled group on funded trip to help assess them. They are already familiar with us, and trust us as leaders in unfamiliar places.
