Radio Faza CIC was
incorporated on 19 February 2025 and commenced its community broadcasting
operations, following the transfer of the broadcasting licence
from Radio Fiza Ltd.
During the
reporting period, Radio Faza CIC continued providing multilingual community
radio services to the diverse communities of Nottingham and surrounding areas
through its FM and DAB broadcasting platforms.
The CIC
maintained its established community-focused programming, delivering content in
Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Pashto and English, with particular emphasis on serving
South Asian communities and other culturally diverse audiences.
Its activities
included community information, educational discussions, cultural programming,
public-awareness messages and opportunities for local people to participate in
broadcasting.
Community Events and Engagement
Alongside its
broadcasting activities, Radio Faza CIC continued its involvement in community
events, cultural celebrations, awareness initiatives and local gatherings
designed to bring people together, encourage social interaction and celebrate
Nottingham's cultural diversity.
Through
community events and collaborative activities, the CIC provided opportunities
for residents, families, volunteers and community organisations to connect,
share experiences and participate in local community life. These activities
helped promote social inclusion, cultural understanding, community cohesion and
a stronger sense of belonging.
The station
continued supporting community engagement through its relationships with local
organisations, voluntary groups and public-sector partners, helping to
communicate information about health, education, community wellbeing and access
to local services.
Radio Faza CIC
also continued providing opportunities for volunteers and community members to
develop confidence, communication skills and broadcasting experience.
These
activities benefited the community by improving access to information in
familiar languages, promoting cultural understanding, encouraging participation
and strengthening connections between local communities and service providers.
Throughout the
reporting period, Radio Faza CIC operated with a community-focused,
not-for-profit purpose, directing its activities towards delivering social
value and maintaining accessible community broadcasting services.
Consultation
was conducted through monthly community meetings, direct discussions, telephone
calls, WhatsApp communications, social media interactions and informal feedback
during broadcasting activities and community engagement initiatives.
These
consultations provided opportunities for stakeholders to express their views,
identify community needs, suggest programme topics and contribute ideas for
improving the station's services and activities.
Feedback
received from stakeholders influenced the CIC's programming decisions,
community engagement activities and ongoing development of its services.
Particular consideration was given to ensuring that broadcasting content
remained relevant, culturally appropriate, accessible and responsive to the
needs of Nottingham's diverse communities.
The monthly
community meetings also provided a platform for discussing local concerns,
identifying opportunities for collaboration and encouraging greater
participation from community members and voluntary organisations.
Through this ongoing consultation process, Radio Faza CIC continued to strengthen its relationships with stakeholders and ensure that community feedback contributed to its activities and decision-making.
