|
T M Stevens
Director |
The principal accounting policies are summarised below. They have all been applied consistently throughout the financial period and to the preceding financial year, unless otherwise stated.
Annabeth Limited (the Company) is a private company, limited by shares, incorporated in the United Kingdom under the Companies Act 2006 and is registered in England and Wales. The address of the Company's registered office is Rosemary Cottage Peat Common, Elstead, Godalming, GU8 6DX, United Kingdom.
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, modified to include the revaluation of freehold properties and to include investment properties and certain items at fair value, and in accordance with Section 1A of Financial Reporting Standard 102 (FRS 102) ‘The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland’ issued by the Financial Reporting Council and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 as applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
The financial statements are presented in pounds sterling which is the functional currency of the Company and rounded to the nearest £.
The current financial statements cover a nine‑month reporting period from 1 February 2025 to 31 October 2025. The reporting period was shortened to nine months to facilitate the planned sale of the Company, including aligning financial reporting with the timelines and information requirements of prospective buyers. As a result of presenting a period shorter than twelve months, the amounts in these financial statements are not fully comparable with the amounts presented for the prior twelve‑month reporting period.
Prior period adjustments have been included in these financial statements relating to the correction of historical accounting entries associated with customer deposits and pension-related balances. Further details are provided in Note 2 to the financial statements.
Current tax is provided at amounts expected to be paid (or recoverable) using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted at the Balance Sheet date.
Deferred tax
Deferred tax arises as a result of including items of income and expenditure in taxation computations in periods different from those in which they are included in the Company's financial statements. Deferred tax is provided in full on timing differences which result in an obligation to pay more or less tax at a future date, at the average tax rates that are expected to apply when the timing differences reverse, based on tax rates and laws substantively enacted at the balance sheet date. Deferred tax assets and liabilities are not discounted.

During the preparation of the financial statements for the year ended 31 October 2025, a detailed review of the prior period accounting records identified a number of historical accounting and presentation matters requiring adjustment. Accordingly, the comparative figures have been restated to ensure consistency and appropriate presentation in accordance with FRS 102.
The adjustments principally relates to the correction of historical accounting entries relating to customer deposits. Certain deposit transactions were incorrectly recorded resulting in the misstatement of revenue and related balance sheet balances in prior periods. The comparative figures have been restated to reflect the appropriate accounting treatment of these transactions.
The adjustments relate solely to the comparative figures and does not affect the Company’s underlying trading activities or cash generation during the year ended 31 October 2025.
