The financial statements of Autonomy Energy Limited (registered number:
|
J Jennings
Director |
The principal accounting policies are summarised below. They have all been applied consistently throughout the financial year and to the preceding financial year, unless otherwise stated.
Autonomy Energy Limited (the Company) is a private company, limited by shares, incorporated in the United Kingdom under the Companies Act 2006 and is registered in England and Wales. The address of the Company's registered office is Nightingale House Redland Hill, Redland, Bristol, BS6 6SH, United Kingdom.
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, modified to include certain items at fair value, and in accordance with Section 1A of Financial Reporting Standard 102 (FRS 102) ‘The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland’ issued by the Financial Reporting Council and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 as applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
The financial statements are presented in pounds sterling which is the functional currency of the Company and rounded to the nearest £.
The directors have assessed the Statement of Financial Position and likely future cash flows at the date of approving these financial statements. The directors note that the business has net liabilities of £16,076. The Company is supported through loans from an associated company. The directors have received assurances that the loan facilities will continue to be available for at least 12 months from the date of signing these financial statements and the associated company will continue to support the Company. After making enquiries, the directors believe that any foreseeable debts can be met for at least 12 months from the date of signing these financial statements. Accordingly, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.
In the current year, the following new and revised standards and interpretations have been adopted by the Company and have had an effect on future periods.
At the date of authorisation of these financial statements, the following standards and interpretations, which have not yet been applied in these financial statements, were in issue but not yet effective:
In the prior year, the company prepared its financial statements in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 105, 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable to the Micro-entities Regime'. During the current year, the company elected not to apply the micro-entities regime and has therefore transitioned to FRS 102 Section 1A.
The date of transition to FRS 102 was 1 May 2025. The transition has been accounted for in accordance with Section 35 of FRS 102, 'Transition to this FRS'. Comparative information has been restated where required to reflect the adoption of FRS 102.
The transition from FRS 105 to FRS 102 Section 1A did not result in any material adjustments to the company's reported assets, liabilities, financial position or profit for the comparative period.
Where material misstatements are found in prior year figures, then these figures are restated to show the corrected position as detailed in Note 2.
Current tax is provided at amounts expected to be paid (or recoverable) using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted at the reporting date.

Financial assets and financial liabilities are recognised when the Company becomes a party to the contractual provisions of the instrument.
Financial liabilities and equity instruments are classified according to the substance of the contractual arrangements entered into. An equity instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the assets of the Company after deducting all of its liabilities.
Financial assets and liabilities are only offset in the Statement of Financial Position when, and only when there exists a legally enforceable right to set off the recognised amounts and the Company intends either to settle on a net basis, or to realise the asset and settle the liability simultaneously.
During the year, the directors identified that the company's issued share capital disclosed in the prior year's financial statements was incorrect.
The comparative figures have been restated to reflect the correct issued share capital position as at 30 April 2025. As a result of the correction, share capital has increased by £94 and other debtors have increased by £94 at 30 April 2025 and 30 April 2026.
The correction relates solely to the presentation of equity balances and has no impact on the company's profit or loss.
