Notes to the Financial Statements
1. General Information
L&d Property Limited is a private company, limited by shares, incorporated in England & Wales, registered number 12431439 . The registered office is 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF.
2. Accounting Policies
2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 section 1A Small Entities "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006.
The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the company. Monetary
amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.
2.2. Turnover
Turnover consists of rental income, which is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable and is presented net of any rent-free  periods or lease incentives.
This rental income from operating leases (net of any incentives given to the lessee), is recognised on a straight line basis over the term of the lease. Where rental income is received in advance or in arrears, appropriate accruals or deferrals are made at the reporting date to reflect the income earned for the period.
2.3. Tangible Fixed Assets and Depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of the fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases:
Computer Equipment 33% on Cost
The gain or loss arising on the disposal of an asset is determined as the difference between the sale proceeds and the carrying value of the asset, and is credited or charged to profit or loss.
At each reporting period end date, the company reviews the carrying amounts of its tangible assets to determine
whether there is any indication that those assets have suffered an impairment loss. If any such indication exists, the
recoverable amount of the asset is estimated in order to determine the extent of the impairment loss (if any). Where it is not possible to estimate the recoverable amount of an individual asset, the company estimates the recoverable amount of the cash-generating unit to which the asset belongs.
2.4. Investment Properties
Investment property is shown at most recent valuation which is determined annually and derived from the current market rents and investment property yields for comparable real estate, adjusted if necessary for any difference in the nature, location or condition of the specific asset. .Changes in fair value are recognised in the profit and loss account.
The valuation method is based on comparable market data, management have deemed the properties to be accurately valued at the reporting date. The determined fair value is sensitive to the estimated yield as well as to vacancy rates.
2.5. Leasing and Hire Purchase Contracts
Leasing - as a lessor
Lease are classified as operating leases.
Rental income from operating leases is recognised on a straight line basis over the term of the relevant lease. Initial direct costs incurred in negotiating and arranging an operating lease are added to the carrying amount of the leased asset and recognised on a straight line basis over the lease term.

2.6. Taxation
Income tax expense represents deferred tax.
Deferred tax is recognised on timing differences between the carrying amounts of assets and liabilities in the financial statements and the corresponding tax bases used in the computation of taxable profit. Deferred tax liabilities are generally recognised for all taxable timing differences. Deferred tax assets are generally recognised for all deductible temporary differences to the extent that it is probable that taxable profits will be available against which those deductible timing differences can be utilised. The carrying amount of deferred tax assets is reviewed at the end of each reporting period and reduced to the extent that it is no longer probable that sufficient taxable profits will be available to allow all or part of the asset to be recovered.
Deferred tax assets and liabilities are measured at the tax rates that are expected to apply in the period in which the liability is settled or the asset realised, based on tax rates (and tax laws) that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period. Deferred tax liabilities are presented within provisions for liabilities and deferred tax assets within debtors. The measurement of deferred tax liabilities and assets reflect the tax consequences that would follow from the manner in which the Company expects, at the end of the reporting period, to recover or settle the carrying amount of its assets and liabilities.
Deferred tax is recognised in profit or loss for the year, except when they relate to items that are recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity, in which case deferred tax are recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity respectively.
2.7. Trade and other debtors
