The company aims to support people who are disadvantaged, have low incomes or are from hard to reach groups in The Furness Peninsula, South Lakes and Cumbria. All activities have an element of connecting participants to, and celebrating, one or all of the following: Their authentic creative selves To nature/the living world To each other/a sense of community. Our aim is to improve health and well-being, for both people and planet, and increase resilience on an individual and community level, as an antidote to the global social and environmental challenges and instability facing life on Earth. In this year we delivered the following: A pilot project on the theme of nature connection and creativity with groups in Barrow and Kendal. Regular contracts offering music to a school and gardening services in South Lakes. Several one off workshops to support the local community to connect with nature and creative expression.
We used social media and our own mailing list (150 people built up from previous activities carried out in a sole trader capacity) to raise awareness of CIC activity and invite involvement. We conducted a schools survey to seek feedback on new project proposals.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
