INFOGENIX SYSTEMS LTD

Notes to the Financial Statements

for the Period Ended 31 May 2025

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

Turnover represents consideration receivable for services provided, net of Value Added Tax, rebates and discounts. Revenue is recognised over time where the customer simultaneously receives and consumes the benefits of the Company's performance; fixed-scope assignments are recognised by reference to completed milestones and accepted deliverables.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and impairment. Depreciation is charged on a straight-line basis over estimated useful economic lives, with appropriate time apportionment in the year of acquisition. Assets acquired late in the period are depreciated from the date they are available for use.

    Intangible fixed assets amortisation policy

Separately acquired software, licences, platforms, development rights and other identifiable intangible assets are stated at cost less accumulated amortisation and impairment. Amortisation is charged on a straight-line basis over their estimated useful economic lives from the date the asset is available for use.

    Valuation information and policy

The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention. Fixed assets are carried at cost less accumulated depreciation or amortisation and impairment. Current investments are measured at amortised cost less impairment. No revaluation model has been applied.

    Other accounting policies

Cost of sales includes specialist personnel, subcontractors, agents, direct technical costs, project support and other direct expenditure attributable to customer engagements. Costs are recognised in the same period as the related revenue. Trade debtors, cash, trade creditors, accruals and the Director's loan are basic financial instruments. They are initially measured at transaction price and subsequently at amortised cost, less impairment where applicable. Current investments comprise short-term deposits and money-market instruments expected to mature or be realised within twelve months. They are measured at amortised cost less impairment. At each reporting date the Company reviews tangible and intangible assets and financial assets for indicators of impairment. Where indicators exist, carrying amounts are reduced to recoverable amounts and impairment losses are recognised in profit or loss. Current tax is recognised for corporation tax payable on taxable profit using enacted or substantively enacted rates. Deferred tax is recognised on material timing differences where required by FRS 102. Short-term employee benefits are recognised as an expense as services are received. Employer pension contributions are recognised in the period to which they relate. Transactions denominated in foreign currencies are translated at the exchange rate at the transaction date. Monetary assets and liabilities are retranslated at the reporting-date rate, with exchange differences recognised in profit or loss.
