LAMZIKI LTD

Notes to the Financial Statements

for the Period Ended 30 November 2025

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

Turnover represents the value, excluding value added tax, of goods supplied and services provided during the financial year. Revenue is recognised in accordance with the accounting policies set out in the financial statements and the applicable financial reporting framework. Revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when control of the goods passes to the customer, usually on delivery or acceptance. Revenue is measured at the amount of consideration the company expects to receive, after deducting trade discounts, rebates and agreed returns. Revenue from construction services and long-term contracts is recognised over time where the relevant criteria are met. The amount recognised reflects the progress made towards completing the contract, assessed by reference to project milestones, costs incurred compared with estimated total costs, and the company’s contractual obligations. Where the outcome of a contract cannot be estimated reliably, revenue is recognised only to the extent that the costs incurred are expected to be recoverable. Any anticipated loss on a contract is recognised immediately as an expense. Revenue from services is recognised as the services are provided, provided the company has an enforceable right to payment. Where services are delivered over a period of time, revenue is recognised over that period in a manner that reflects the work performed. The directors review significant judgements and estimates used in applying the company’s revenue recognition policies and update them as necessary to reflect the terms of contracts and the information available.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

The company depreciates tangible fixed assets using the straight-line method, allocating their depreciable amount evenly over their estimated useful lives. Depreciation begins when an asset is available for use and is charged to the profit and loss account until the asset is fully depreciated or derecognised. The depreciable amount is calculated as the asset’s cost less its estimated residual value. The directors review useful lives and residual values at each financial year-end and revise them where changes in the asset’s expected use, condition or technology indicate that an adjustment is appropriate.

    Valuation information and policy

The company adopts a fair value approach to valuing its assets and liabilities. This approach ensures that assets and liabilities are recorded at their estimated fair market values, providing a more accurate reflection of the company's financial position. The valuation process is conducted by qualified professionals using appropriate valuation methodologies and considering relevant market data and industry practices. Regular reviews and updates of valuations are performed to maintain accuracy and relevance.

9. Financial Commitments

At the year-end, the company had financial commitments arising in the ordinary course of its scrap, metals and waste trading activities. These included contractual obligations to purchase goods and services, lease agreements and other amounts payable in future periods. The commitments support the company’s day-to-day trading activities and its ability to meet customer and supplier requirements. Purchasing commitments may relate to the acquisition of scrap, metals and other waste materials for resale or further handling, together with associated goods and services. Depending on the company’s arrangements, related services may include transport, handling, sorting, processing, storage and disposal. The timing and value of these commitments can be affected by agreed prices, delivery schedules, contracted volumes and payment terms. The company also has obligations arising from lease agreements and other ongoing arrangements used to support its operations. These commitments are settled over the periods specified in the relevant agreements. The directors review the timing of expected payments and consider them alongside forecast receipts, operating costs and other financial requirements. Amounts relating to goods or services received by the year-end, and other liabilities for which the company has a present obligation, are recognised in the financial statements as creditors or other appropriate liabilities. Future contractual commitments are considered separately and disclosed where required by the applicable financial reporting framework. The directors intend to meet the company’s commitments as they fall due. Cash flows and anticipated funding requirements are monitored as part of the company’s financial planning, with the aim of maintaining sufficient liquidity to meet contractual obligations while supporting ongoing trading activities.
