COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

SPM LEGAL CIC

Company Number: 15419366 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 January 2026

Company activities and impact

The CIC continues to strengthen access to justice by providing free legal advice and representation to grassroots organisations and people facing significant barriers, including vulnerable clients, survivors of domestic abuse and individuals with precarious immigration status. Its support has enabled people to understand and exercise their rights, challenge unfair treatment and access protection at times when they may otherwise have been excluded from legal help. Through collaboration with community partners and advocacy groups, the CIC has extended this impact beyond individual cases. By raising awareness of legal rights, strengthening referral networks and supporting initiatives that build confidence and resilience, it has helped disadvantaged communities become better informed, more empowered and better able to advocate for themselves

Consultation with stakeholders

The CIC’s key stakeholders include migrants and other individuals who use its legal advice services, as well as grassroots organisations and community partners that support or collaborate in the delivery of its activities. The CIC actively seeks feedback from beneficiaries after their cases have concluded, using accessible feedback forms to assess the quality, relevance and impact of its services and to identify opportunities for improvement. Feedback from beneficiaries and partner organisations is reviewed regularly and informs the CIC’s decision-making. Where appropriate, the CIC adjusts its working practices, develops new initiatives or refines existing services in response to the needs and suggestions identified. This approach ensures that its activities remain responsive, accountable and focused on delivering measurable community benefit to people who face barriers to accessing justice.
