Redstone Spring Garden CIC is a community-led project based in Stapleton, Bristol, dedicated to connecting people with nature, supporting wellbeing, and creating opportunities for community connection, learning and environmental stewardship. Throughout the financial year, we have continued to develop and maintain our community green space, providing opportunities for people to come together through volunteering, gardening, environmental conservation, workshops and community events. Our community sauna and natural spring have continued to provide an accessible space for relaxation, wellbeing and social connection. We have also hosted activities including yoga, meditation, movement workshops and other community gatherings, helping to reduce social isolation and support physical and mental wellbeing. We have continued to care for the land through food growing, biodiversity improvements, woodland management and the maintenance of shared facilities. Volunteers have played an important role in these activities, developing practical skills, building relationships and contributing to the ongoing development of the project. The CIC operates with a collaborative, community-focused approach, encouraging participation and shared responsibility. Through these activities, Redstone Spring Garden CIC has benefited the local community by providing an inclusive and welcoming space where people can connect with nature, improve their wellbeing, learn new skills and develop a stronger sense of belonging.
Redstone Spring Garden CIC’s stakeholders include local residents, community members, volunteers, visitors, event participants, staff and directors. We hold regular directors’ meetings and wider community meetings, providing opportunities for stakeholders to share feedback, raise concerns, contribute ideas and participate in decisions about the running and development of the project. We use a collaborative, consent-based decision-making process, aiming to ensure that different perspectives are heard and considered. Feedback from these meetings helps shape how we manage the land, organise activities, improve facilities and respond to the changing needs of our community. This ongoing consultation helps ensure that the project remains community-led and continues to provide meaningful benefits to those involved.
Some directors received remuneration for work carried out on behalf of Redstone Spring Garden CIC, relating to the day-to-day running, management and maintenance of the project. Other directors received no remuneration, as their contributions were made on a voluntary basis or did not involve paid responsibilities. All remuneration was for work undertaken in support of the CIC’s activities and community objectives. Please refer to the company’s annual accounts for full details of payments made to directors.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
