3
Accounting policies
The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous period, and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts.
Basis of preparation
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
Presentation currency
The accounts are presented in £ sterling.
Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives:
Motor vehicles
25% Straight Line
Turnover
Turnover represents amounts receivable, net of VAT, from property transactions and related activities. Revenue from property disposals is recognised on legal completion. Other property-related income is recognised when the company's entitlement to the income has been established and the relevant contractual obligations have been performed.
Inventories
Inventories are stated at the lower of cost and estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell. Cost includes expenditure directly attributable to bringing the inventories to their present location and condition. Development project expenditure is carried as work in progress until disposal or recovery. Motor vehicles acquired for resale are included within inventories and are reviewed for impairment at each reporting date.
Hire purchase and finance arrangements
Assets acquired under hire purchase and similar finance arrangements are recognised at the lower of their fair value and the present value of the minimum payments. The corresponding obligations are included within creditors. Finance charges are allocated over the term of the arrangements so as to produce a constant periodic rate of interest on the outstanding liability. Assets acquired for resale under such arrangements are included within inventories.
Going concern
At 31 October 2025 the company had net liabilities of £132,871 and net current liabilities of £41,307. The financial statements have nevertheless been prepared on a going concern basis. The director has considered the company's expected trading, cash flows and financial requirements for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements and intends to continue to provide financial support to the company and not seek repayment of amounts due to him to the extent that this would prejudice the company's ability to meet its liabilities as they fall due. On this basis, the director considers that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future.
