COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

CREATIVE REBEL CIC

Year Ending: 31 January 2026

Company activities and impact

During the 2025/2026 financial year, Creative Rebel CIC continued to support people and communities across Lincoln and Lincolnshire through enterprise education, practical learning, collaborative working and the development of community-led initiatives. The company's activities benefited the community in the following ways: Enterprise education and skills development: Through Team Academy for Social Change (TASC), we provided opportunities for individuals to develop entrepreneurial, leadership, teamwork and employability skills through practical, experience-based learning. Our approach supported participants to build confidence, develop ideas and explore opportunities for self-employment, business creation and community action. Access to recognised qualifications: As an IOEE Academy, Creative Rebel maintained the capacity to deliver nationally recognised SFEDI Awards qualifications, creating opportunities for learners to gain formal recognition of their enterprise skills and knowledge alongside practical experience. Support for entrepreneurs and changemakers: We supported independent entrepreneurs, freelancers and community changemakers by providing access to advice, peer networks, collaborative opportunities and practical resources, helping individuals develop their projects, strengthen their businesses and pursue their ambitions. Affordable space and shared resources: Through TASC Lab, we provided access to flexible workspace, meeting facilities and a collaborative learning environment, reducing barriers for individuals and smaller organisations that would otherwise struggle to access suitable facilities. Community collaboration and partnership development: We worked with local organisations, education providers and community partners to identify opportunities for collaborative activity, share expertise and develop initiatives responding to local needs. Supporting community-led enterprise: We continued to encourage and support projects that combine commercial sustainability with positive social outcomes, enabling individuals to explore how enterprise and entrepreneurship can create value for their wider communities. Sharing ideas and knowledge: Although no TEDxBrayford Pool event took place during 2025, the programme's existing library of publicly accessible talks continued to share ideas, experiences and perspectives from local speakers with audiences in Lincolnshire and beyond. Together, these activities helped reduce barriers to enterprise, learning and collaboration, while supporting individuals to build the confidence, skills and connections needed to create sustainable opportunities for themselves and their communities.

Consultation with stakeholders

Creative Rebel CIC's stakeholders include learners, entrepreneurs, freelancers, community changemakers and individuals seeking to develop their skills, confidence and employment opportunities. Our wider stakeholders include local community organisations, education providers, businesses and partner organisations across Lincoln and Lincolnshire. During the 2025/2026 financial year, we continued to consult with stakeholders through regular conversations, partnership meetings, collaborative project development and informal feedback from participants and users of our spaces. Through Team Academy for Social Change (TASC), we encouraged learners and participants to contribute to the development of their learning experiences. Our team-based approach places collaboration, dialogue and reflection at the centre of learning, enabling participants to influence the direction of their projects and identify the skills and support they need. We also engaged with entrepreneurs, freelancers and independent changemakers using TASC Lab and our wider facilities. Their feedback helped inform how our spaces, resources and support services could better accommodate individuals and small organisations developing businesses, creative projects and community initiatives. Consultation with local partners, including education providers, community organisations and employability services, helped us identify emerging needs, potential gaps in provision and opportunities for collaborative delivery. These discussions informed the continued development of our enterprise education, employability and business start-up support. Much of our stakeholder engagement takes place through ongoing relationships rather than formal surveys. This enables us to respond flexibly to feedback, adapt our activities and ensure that the people using our services have a meaningful influence over their development. This collaborative approach remains central to Creative Rebel CIC's commitment to creating opportunities with communities rather than simply delivering services to them.
