Derby Extreme Cheer Academy CIC provides cheerleading and tumbling classes for children and young people of all ages and abilities across Derby and the surrounding areas. We currently have around 400 athletes attending the academy, supported by our team of coaches and junior coaches. We offer everything from recreational cheerleading and beginner classes through to competitive teams that compete at regional, national and international events. Our main aim has always been to give children somewhere they feel happy, safe and included. For many of our athletes, the gym is much more than somewhere they come to train. It's somewhere they make friends, build confidence and feel part of a team. We have lots of athletes who have been with us for many years, which is something we are particularly proud of. Throughout the year, we have continued to provide weekly training sessions, tumbling clinics, competitions and other opportunities for our athletes. We also encourage our older athletes to get involved in coaching, giving them the chance to gain experience and develop new skills. We work hard to keep improving the academy and regularly invest money back into equipment, facilities and opportunities for our athletes. We also organise fundraising events which bring our families together and help support the club. We are proud of the community we have built over the years and the positive impact the academy has on so many children and families. We hope to continue growing and giving more young people the opportunity to be part of Derby Extreme.
