Accounting policies (continued)

Going concern
The directors have considered the factors that impact the company’s future development, performance, cash flows and financial position along with the company’s current liquidity in forming their opinion on the going concern basis. Notwithstanding net current liabilities of £1,006 as at 26 March 2026 the directors have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus they continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the annual financial statements.

Revenue recognition

Turnover is recognised at point of sale except for turnover derived from care plans, which is recognised on an apportioned basis relative to delivery of the service.

Turnover is recognised at point of sale except for turnover derived from care plans, which is recognised in line with specific performance obligations of the plan as they are completed in line with the contract. The majority of these are met at a point in time, with the remainder over time and have been assessed based on the nature of the individual components.

Investments

Investments are investments in equity shares which are not publicly traded and where fair value cannot be measured reliably. They are therefore measured at cost less impairment.

Dividends on equity securities are recognised in income when receivable.

Trade debtors

Trade debtors are amounts due from customers for merchandise sold or services performed in the ordinary course of business.
Trade debtors are recognised initially at the transaction price. They are subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method, less provision for impairment. A provision for the impairment of trade debtors is established when there is objective evidence that the company will not be able to collect all amounts due according to the original terms of the receivables.

Accounting policies (continued)

Trade creditors

Trade creditors are obligations to pay for goods or services that have been acquired in the ordinary course of business from suppliers. Accounts payable are classified as current liabilities if the company does not have an unconditional right, at the end of the reporting period, to defer settlement of the creditor for at least twelve months after the reporting date. If there is an unconditional right to defer settlement for at least twelve months after the reporting date, they are presented as non-current liabilities.

Trade creditors are recognised initially at the transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.

Share capital

Ordinary shares are classified as equity. Equity instruments are measured at the fair value of the cash or other resources received or receivable, net of the direct costs of issuing the equity instruments. If payment is deferred and the time value of money is material, the initial measurement is on a present value basis.

Dividends

Dividend distribution to the company’s shareholders is recognised as a liability in the financial statements in the reporting period in which the dividends are declared.

Finance income and costs

Finance costs are charged to the profit and loss over the term of the debt using the effective interest method so that the amount charged is at a constant rate on the carrying amount. Issue costs are initially recognised as a reduction in the proceeds of the associated capital instrument.

Finance income is recognised in the profit and loss using the effective interest method.
