During the year to 28 February 2026, Living Nature Wellness CIC offered nature-based wellbeing activities for children, families and adults in Tameside and Stockport, mainly at Werneth Low Country Park and Wise Woods, a private woodland in Marple, Strines. We ran Wild & Well summer clubs for children at Werneth Low through Summer and Autumn half terms, with over 60 places booked. A couple of free places were offered at each club, and local facilitators and support workers were paid for their work. A learning Hub pilot for home-educated children was developed at Wise Woods in Autumn 2025, with up to 7 children attending a session. Children helped to clear paths, build dead hedging and map the woodland, and families told us there was little else like it locally. Alongside the pilot, we hosted a free community volunteer day at Wise Woods in October 2025, with over 15 people helping to care for the land. We ran monthly wellness circles for adults at Werneth Low, with between four and eight people attending each one exploring movement, nature connection and supportive group works. These circles fed into the programme development this year. We worked with Action Together to build our knowledge of running a social enterprise which helped make the vision clearer as well as beginning to form a wider board of directors, bringing more community voices into how the company is run.
Who our stakeholders are: Our stakeholders are the children and families who attend our clubs and the Learning Hub, adults who come to our wellness circles, volunteers, the people we employ as facilitators and support workers, the directors, and the landowners and organisations whose sites we use, including Werneth Low Country Park and Wise Woods. We also count local organisations such as Action Together. How we consulted them: We gathered feedback informally and directly. This included conversations with parents and children at clubs and at the Learning Hub, comments from volunteers and visitors on site, and reflections from adults after wellness circles. We did not run a formal consultation process this year. What we did in response: After early Learning Hub sessions, we changed how each day was run. We began and ended in the same space each week, used a clearer daily rhythm, and gave children simple roles and a shared floor book in place of individual sheets. After a child said “we need more people”, we encouraged word-of-mouth and welcomed new families to the Hub. Check this one is right before using it, as it’s a single comment, and cut it if it feels like a stretch. We kept offering free places at our clubs, and used a tiered price system so families paying less could still take part. We reviewed attendance across the year and saw that numbers dipped in the autumn, so we began planning a different approach for that season.
Remuneration of £275 was paid to one director during the year, in respect of administration and facilitation work for the company. No other director received remuneration. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
