for the Period Ended 30 November 2025
During the year ended 30/11/2025, Stepping in 4 You C.I.C. delivered its “Stepping Into Your Needs” programme in Swansea and South Wales. The programme creates safe, welcoming spaces for groups who can face isolation or barriers to support: people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, men, and older people. Wuezza Garden Talk. We held 2 gatherings for 30 people from African, BAME and White British backgrounds. The events offer a relaxed, low-pressure setting for conversation, friendship and shared ideas. They help newcomers settle into life in Wales, reduce social isolation, which affects mental health, and build understanding between cultures. We worked with local charities to deliver them. Wuezza Men’s Getting Together Group. We hosted 5 outdoor gatherings, around an open fire with music and a BBQ, for about 50 men from many backgrounds. They gave men a non-judgmental place to talk about life, grief, fatherhood and the pressures they face, and to build real friendships. Several members also told us they valued the sessions on topics such as business and wellbeing. WhatsApp group of 121 members now lets people support each other between events. A Day of Importance for Senior Citizens. We held 1 event bringing older people together for entertainment, dancing and conversation. The events tackle loneliness, share experience between generations and help older people stay independent and valued. Impact. Across all events we reached around 80 people, supported by 10 volunteers giving about 5 hours. Participants told us the events were “the best day since I came to Swansea” and a chance to meet new people and make new friends.
We gathered feedback through event conversations, written comments, the WhatsApp group, website feedback, and describe one change you made because of it, such as adding talks on business and politics to the men’s group.
