for the Period Ended 31 January 2026

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

Turnover is measured at the fair value of consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and others sales taxes. Turnover represents net sales of goods and services, excluding value added tax.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. Plant and machinery - 20% on reducing balance. At each balance sheet date, the company reviews the carrying amount of the tangible fixed assets to determine whether there is any indication that any items have suffered an impairment loss. If any such indication exists, the recoverable amount of an asset is estimated in order to determine the extent of the impairment loss, if any.

    Other accounting policies

Taxation Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date but only in those instances where the amount is deemed to be material. Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.

COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

CLOUDBERRY COMMUNITIES CIC

Company Number: SC619672 (Scotland)

Year Ending: 31 January 2026

Company activities and impact

To address the mental health crisis, the company delivered social prescribing, wellbeing activities, and volunteering opportunities across two community growing spaces and local woodlands. It advanced capacity-building by engaging residents in the design and delivery of the Northern Corridor Eco Museum. The company also supported Local Outcome Improvement Plans, sustainable transport initiatives, and active travel infrastructure consultations, while continuing its work in the heritage sector. Cycling initiatives continued to thrive, featuring bike subscriptions, free bike library loans, free upcycled bikes for youth, community cycle parking, and active travel hubs. Alongside these efforts, we worked directly with seven local schools and nurseries. Our greenspace, woodland, and path network initiatives are community-led projects involving uniformed groups, youth clubs, schools, and adult volunteers from across the villages. Additionally, the company completed an extensive project on sustainable funding for community-led initiatives, analyzing third-sector support ecosystems and the challenges of holistic placemaking and community health building to inform future work.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are residents of North Lanarkshire's North Locality. This year, we held consultations on several sites where the local community seeks greater ownership to deliver community-led projects. Additionally, our social prescribing work was guided by GP link worker referrals and ongoing collaboration with the Lanarkshire Green Health Partnership. Local Community Groups have also been brought together regularly to discuss improved partnership working as part of a community led action network project supported by the National Lottery. As a result of this consultation the CLAN project is being further delivered over 26/27 with further meetings for groups across the Central Scotland Region.

Directors' remuneration

The directors remuneration information is within the notes of the annual accounts. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director's loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
