| 1. | STATUTORY INFORMATION |
Roscarrock Ltd is a
| 2. | STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE |
| 3. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Going concern
The director has considered the company’s financial position, its performance since the year end and the potential impact of current inflationary and economic conditions on the business, profitability and cash flow. Having assessed the company’s ability to continue as a going concern, the director is satisfied the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for a period of at least 12 months from the date of approval of the financial statements and has confirmed that financial support will be provided if required. Accordingly, the director considers it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis.
Preparation of consolidated financial statements
The financial statements contain information about Roscarrock Ltd as an individual company and do not contain consolidated financial information as the parent of a group. The company is exempt under Section 399(2A) of the Companies Act 2006 from the requirements to prepare consolidated financial statements.
Turnover
Turnover represents management charges receivable excluding value added tax.
Tangible fixed assets
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Cost includes expenditure directly attributable to bringing the asset to the location and condition necessary for it to be capable of operating in the manner intended by management, together with the initial estimate of any directly attributable dismantling, restoration or reinstatement obligations where applicable.
Depreciation is recognised so as to write off the cost of assets, less their estimated residual values, over their expected useful economic lives and is charged from the date the asset is available for use. Residual values, useful economic lives and depreciation methods are reviewed at each reporting date and adjusted prospectively where appropriate.
The gain or loss arising on the disposal of an asset is determined as the difference between the sale proceeds and the carrying value of the asset and is recognised in profit or loss.
Depreciation is provided on the following basis:
| Plant and machinery etc | - 25% reducing balance |
Investments in subsidiaries
Investments in subsidiary undertakings are recognised at cost less impairment.

| 3. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES - continued |
Financial instruments
Financial instruments are recognised in the company's balance sheet when the company becomes party to the contractual provisions of the instrument.
Financial assets and financial liabilities are classified and accounted for according to the substance of the contractual arrangement. An equity instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the assets of the company after deducting all of its liabilities.
Basic financial assets
Basic financial assets are initially recognised at transaction price unless the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction, in which case the asset is measured at the present value of future receipts discounted at a market rate of interest. Such assets are subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
Financial assets are derecognised when the contractual rights to the cash flows from the asset expire or are settled, or when substantially all of the risks and rewards of ownership are transferred to another party. Where the company has retained significant risks and rewards of ownership, the asset continues to be recognised to the extent of the company's continuing involvement.
Impairment of financial assets
Financial assets measured at amortised cost are assessed for impairment at each reporting date. Where there is objective evidence that an asset is impaired, the carrying amount is reduced and the resulting impairment loss is recognised in profit or loss.
Where a previously recognised impairment loss subsequently decreases and the decrease can be objectively related to an event occurring after the impairment was recognised, the impairment loss is reversed through profit or loss to the extent that the revised carrying amount does not exceed the amount that would have been recognised had the impairment not originally been recognised.
Basic financial liabilities
Basic financial liabilities are initially recognised at transaction price and are subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
Financial liabilities are derecognised when the obligation under the liability is discharged, cancelled or expires.
The company applies the recognition and measurement requirements of Section 11 of FRS 102 in respect of basic financial instruments.
Taxation
Current tax is recognised in respect of taxable profits for the current and prior periods. Taxable profit differs from accounting profit as reported in the financial statements because it excludes items of income and expenditure that are taxable or deductible in other periods and items that are never taxable or deductible. Current tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted at the reporting date.

Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of timing differences arising between the recognition of income and expenses in the financial statements and their inclusion in tax assessments. Deferred tax liabilities are recognised for all timing differences that have originated but not reversed by the reporting date.
Deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or future taxable profits. The carrying amount of deferred tax assets is reviewed at each reporting date and reduced to the extent that it is no longer probable that sufficient taxable profits will be available to allow the asset to be recovered.
Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted at the reporting date and that are expected to apply when the related timing differences reverse. Deferred tax is not discounted.
Current and deferred tax are recognised in profit or loss, except when they relate to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity, in which case the related tax is also recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity, as appropriate.
