The company is the freeholder of St Bernard's Court, Lancing. Service charge monies paid by the leaseholders are held by the company on their behalf in accordance with section 42 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987, and are accounted for separately in the service charge accounts.

At 24 June 2026 the company owed £15,477 (2025: £112,103) to the St Bernard's Court service charge fund. This balance is included within creditors falling due within one year.

Loans from shareholders

The balance of £10,848 (2025: £10,848) relates to loans from shareholders made in the period to 30 June 2001. The company's accounts for that period record that 'the loans from the shareholders are only repayable should the freehold be sold'. The amount was restated to £10,848 in the accounts for the year to 30 June 2011.

For the year ending 24 June 2026 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the micro-entity provisions and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
