Through Poetree benefited the community by delivering two poetry workshops at a local community drop-in session, with over 40 people in attendance. The workshops encouraged participants to engage in creative writing, explore poetry as a form of self-expression and connect with others through the creative arts. Across the sessions, four poems were written and three participants shared their work with others. The workshops provided opportunities for creative expression, peer support and community connection, helping to create a welcoming space where people could explore their creativity, share their experiences and engage with one another.
Through Poetree consulted with community members and workshop participants through engagement and discussions during the poetry workshops. This provided opportunities to understand participants' experiences, encourage feedback and ensure the activities supported creative expression, peer connection and community needs.
