We ran 8 monthly blues nights in a local pub venue giving access to live music to all on a donations basis. We have promoted exceptional quality and diversity of blues music from professional musicians from across the UK and supported local musicians on a professional stage. We have provided residents music events which reduced social isolation, created shared social spaces and encouraged interaction between different age groups and backgrounds leading to a more connected and socially active community.
We consulted with our local brewery who own the venue and have been delighted to provided sponsorship to the club. Local businesses were also invited to support us which resulted in one providing sponsorship. We have asked for feedback at the events and have responded to the local community resulting in a regular attendance of between 80 and 100 people from local and more distant places. We created a committee from local people who were fully engaged in running the events.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
