Womblers CIC exists to benefit the community by reducing waste sent to landfill and giving usable items a second life. During the financial year the company collected unwanted electrical and electronic equipment, scrap metal, textiles and surplus stock free of charge from households, businesses, electricians, contractors and landlords across South Northamptonshire. Usable items were sold or donated for reuse, and the remainder were recycled responsibly through licensed facilities. The company operated a weekly collection route serving the villages of Hartwell, Ashton, Stoke Bruerne, Shutlanger, Blisworth and Milton Malsor, bringing free disposal to residents who would otherwise face cost or inconvenience. Community benefit was also delivered through discounted pricing for veterans and their families, and free collections reduced the risk of fly-tipping in rural areas. The company remained committed to its asset lock: all surpluses were retained and reinvested in the community purpose, with no remuneration paid to the director and no assets transferred other than for full consideration.
