OVERVIEW This has been our second year of trading and we have maintained links with community organisations and had success with an Arts Council funding application. Start Up Fund received from UnLtd We completed the spend of the Start Up Fund received from UnLtd. There was an underspend of £250 which we put towards our Arts Council funding bid. ASHAY Workshops (earned income) We delivered 20 sessions to 12 clients in 2025. These were arrange of school workshops, dance for wellbeing and cultural dance styles. There have been 585 attendees take part in the sessions. Aim To Dance Community Dance Programme After consultation with session participants, we opted for monthly weekend workshops to develop our participants with the incentive of being able to participate in an end of year community production. This has still been challenging to develop so have postponed monthly workshops until we can review the best way going forward with public session. We are continued our community performance group, Surayi Dancers, for our more dedicated experienced participants who wish to perform and develop their dance skills. Surayi Dancers provided cultural dance performances at 4 community events. In total, they have performed to an audience of approximately 400 people. There have been 200 participants in the audience participants sessions at the events. Rotherham Rhythm (Arts Council England – National Lottery Community Fund) We were successful at securing £44,800 funding to run a multi-arts youth project in Rotherham. This project resulted in 100 children (from global majority backgrounds) participating in dance, drumming, creative writing and filmmaking workshops. They had 5 performance opportunities and 25 achieved their Explore and Bronze Arts Awards.
