We value empathy. integrity and community engagement. striving to make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. Over the last 12 months we have: Provided balanced and nutritious meat to support good health Reduced the risk of malnutrition and dehydration Helped older people maintain their independence at home for longer Offered regular well being checks during meal deliveries Given reassurance to family members Reduced pressure on unpaid family carers Supported people who struggle to cook due to illness, disability or reduced mobility Strengthened community connections by ensuring vulnerable residents remain supported Provided a cost-effective altenative to residential care We have delivered luncheons and events for other organisations and charities and did our own special event making and delivering 186 Christmas dinners for people who would have spent Christmas alone. We also gave out Christmas gifts to all our customers. We have been successful in receiving grants for The National Lottery, The Clothworkers Foundation, The Rotary Club and AV Davies. This has been a big help to ensure we could grow and help more people. We have introduced a cake shed which was requested by our community, money raised from this is used to purchase much needed equipment and has also been used to help people in the area which reduced priced meals. We are named in a partnership award for the Government Regeneration Grant Program. This will see us relocate to a beautiful park in our local area. The award will cover the costs to renovate an old agricultural building into a community cafe and community space which we will manage. It will also include a larger kitchen for us to operate our meals on wheels service from and will enable more volunteers to help with our project. The capital work should be completed by end 2027. Our cafe will be open to all members of the public. Thanks to The Clothworkers Foundation, AV Davies Charity and The Rotary Club we already have most of the commercial equipment that we will need for the larger kitchen and cafe operation. Caring for our community also means caring for our planet. Our meals on wheels service is committed to protecting the environment. We have delivered all our meals in electric cars, recycled our food waste whenever possible by composting food waste. This was donated to support local growing hubs and a local animal charity.
