Basis of preparation of financial statements
|
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention unless otherwise specified within these accounting policies and in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102, the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006. The disclosure requirements of Section 1A of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required to show a true and fair view.
The following principal accounting policies have been applied:
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. At 30 September 2026, the company had net current liabilities of £102,351 and net liabilities of £43,864. Current liabilities included loans of £15,319 from the directors and £93,084 from related companies.
The directors and the related company lenders have confirmed that they will not seek repayment of these loans where repayment would prejudice the company’s ability to meet its liabilities as they fall due, for at least twelve months from the date these financial statements are authorised for issue.
Having considered the company’s forecast rental receipts, operating costs, mortgage obligations and the support described above, the directors consider that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for at least twelve months from the date these financial statements are authorised for issue.
Revenue represents rental income receivable from investment property and is recognised on a straight-line basis over the period to which it relates.
Finance costs are charged to profit or loss over the term of the debt using the effective interest method so that the amount charged is at a constant rate on the carrying amount. Issue costs are initially recognised as a reduction in the proceeds of the associated capital instrument.
All borrowing costs are recognised in profit or loss in the year in which they are incurred.
Investment property is measured at fair value at each reporting date. Fair value is determined by the directors having regard to recent market evidence for comparable properties, adjusted where appropriate for differences in location, condition and other relevant characteristics. Changes in fair value are recognised in profit or loss. No depreciation is provided on investment property.
