STRATEGIC  REPORT

Fundraising Activities

As in 2024, the plan for 2025 was to continue to raise awareness of  Agents Giving amongst the estate agency industry and to encourage as many individuals  and companies as possible to be involved in fundraising activities and dosomething great for charity no matter how big or small.
Agents Giving were able to support this by promoting good deeds by the  industry which made such a huge difference in their local communities for  charitable causes, community groups, individuals in need, the elderly, homeless  and vulnerable.
Agents Giving organise a  Supporters Scheme whereby agents sign up to for an annual fee of £99 to show  their support, this works well for agents who may not have the time to get  involved in a fundraising event themselves, but they want to do something to  help make a difference.  Participating  agents receive promotional material to use and their own web page to promote  their company.  In 2025 the scheme raised£5,594. National Home Move  showed their support by signing up all 65 of their network branches to the  scheme.

The Estate Agency Foundation('EAF') changed its' name on 31st January 2014 to Agents Giving. It  is a charitable company limited by guarantee. It was incorporated as a companyon  18th February 2008 and was later registered as a charity with the Charity  Commission on 7th June 2008.
The charity's governing documents are its  Memorandum and Articles of Association.
The Articles of Association provide for a  minimum of three directors but do not set a maximum number. Directors are  appointed by the board of directors and retire by rotation after which they may  put themselves forward for reappointment. The Board keeps the skill  requirements under review and in the event that a director retires, or  additional new directors are required, the board asks for nominations.
New directors will receive a copy of the  Memorandum and Articles, Annual Report, minutes and details of projects funded.
The directors meet four times a year and the day-to-day  correspondence is delegated to the charity's fundraising team. The directors have  considered the major risks to which the charity is exposed at a board meeting in  July 2015. The identified risks are graded as to whether they are perceived as  a high, medium or low risk to the organization. There were no major risks  identified that had a risk grading of high. Systems are established to monitor  and manage risks on an ongoing basis at board meetings.

The Trustees have prepared financial projections, taking into consideration the current economic conditions and have, at the time of approving these accounts, a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus they continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the accounts.

1.3 Income from donations or grants

Income from donations and grants is recognised when the charity is entitled to the funds, the receipt is probable and the amount can be measured reliably. For donations, this is usually on receipt. For grants, this is usually when a formal o'er is made in writing. If a donation or grant contains terms and conditions outside of the charity’s control which must be met before the charity is entitled to the funds, or if the donor specifies that the funds must be used in future time periods, then the income is deferred.

1.4 Tax reclaims on donations and gifts

Gift Aid receivable is included in income when there is a valid declaration from the donor. Any Gift Aid amount recovered on a donation is considered to be part of that gift and is treated as an addition to the same fund as the initial donation unless the donor or the terms of the appeal have specified otherwise.

1.5 Taxation

The organisation is a registered charity and has no liability to income tax or corporation tax on its charitable activities during the year.
