During the past year, One.Surgery has continued to maintain its online presence and support the global surgery community. While wider organisational activity has remained relatively modest, significant progress has been made through our academic publishing activities. Our principal achievement has been the continued growth of the Journal of Global Surgery (ONE), our peer-reviewed, open-access journal. During the year, two additional journal issues were published, strengthening our commitment to accessible, equitable and affordable academic publishing, particularly for researchers from low- and middle-income countries. We have also expanded our collaboration with the global surgery community through the publication of three conference Books of Abstracts, working in partnership with InciSioN (International Global Surgery Symposium), the International Congress for Innovation in Global Surgery (ICIGS), and the Global Anaesthesia, Surgery and Obstetric Collaboration (GASOC). These partnerships have provided opportunities for researchers and clinicians to share their work and contribute to global surgery knowledge and collaboration. Our existing online platforms have continued to operate, and we remain committed to supporting collaboration, knowledge sharing and the development of a more inclusive global surgery community. We hope to build on this progress in the coming year.
Engagement with stakeholders has continued through our journal activities, academic partnerships and communication with members of the global surgery community. Our collaborations with conference organisers, authors, reviewers and editorial board members have helped shape our publishing activities and priorities. No formal stakeholder consultation exercise was undertaken during the reporting period.
